Chemical identity
- Structure: Nicotinamide riboside 5′-phosphate (NMN) joined by a pyrophosphate linkage to adenosine 5′-monophosphate. The nicotinamide ring carries a positive charge on its quaternary nitrogen in the oxidized form (denoted by the “+”).
- Molecular formula: C₂₁H₂₇N₇O₁₄P₂ (common zwitterionic representation); protonated forms are also tabulated as C₂₁H₂₈N₇O₁₄P₂⁺
