Description
Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP Peptide) is a naturally occurring neuropeptide consisting of nine amino acids. It was first isolated in the 1970s during research into sleep regulation and has since been investigated for its potential role in modulating sleep, neuroendocrine function, stress responses, and circadian biology.
DSIP has been studied for its interactions with the central nervous system and its potential influence on neurotransmitter activity, including pathways involving gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), glutamate, and other neuromodulators.
